Jonathan Beloff is Of Counsel at Haber Law after having thirty years’ experience at prominent South Florida law firms, followed by twenty years of practicing law at his own law firm. Throughout his fifty year legal career, Jon has gained extensive experience in both commercial and residential real estate transactions, including the purchase and sale of hotels, shopping centers, office buildings, multi-family, restaurants and strip centers.

Over the years Jon handled the creation of and prepared the condominium documents for over fifty condominium projects in South Florida, including the first condominium conversions in Miami Beach and Bal Harbour. He has also lectured on condominiums at the University of Miami, Institute of Condominiums and Cluster Housing and Real Estate. Jonathan represents real estate developers, investors, financial institutions and borrowing entities in all forms of real estate transactions and financings including, but not limited to, acquisitions, dispositions, hard money lending, JVs, development and leasing. Jon frequently represents developers throughout the entire lifecycle of their projects, starting with the acquisition, through pre-development, construction, leasing, financing, joint ventures and the ultimate disposition. Jon has represented and continues to represent many well-known restaurants and businesses in Miami Beach and the greater Miami- Dade County metropolitan area, and he has drafted and negotiated leases on both sides of landlord/tenant transactions, including many well-known restaurants and businesses.

A prominent civic and community leader, Jon has dedicated significant time over the years to public service in the community He has served on many municipal, private or community Boards and organizations, including: Chairman of the City of Miami Beach Planning Board, Commissioner of the City of Miami Beach Housing Authority, President of North Beach Development Corporation, Vice-Chairman of the City of Miami Beach Charter Review Committee, Vice-Chair of Mount Sinai Hospital Foundation Board, President of the Miami Beach Bar Association, President of the Allison Island Homeowner’s Association and Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Friends and Founders of Gusman Cultural Center.

Jon enjoys his Sunday tennis game and occasionally picks up his golf clubs for a round or his pickle ball racket. Jon is also an avid skier. He and his wife, Marisue, are the proud parents of a son and daughter and grandparents of three special grandkids. Jon loves spending time with family, travelling extensively and relaxing at his North Carolina mountain home.
