Since practicing in the area of community association law beginning in 2015, Mr. Smith counsels his condominium and homeowners’ association clients on all aspects of community association law, including day-to-day operations, elections, recalls, special assessments, assessment collection, vendor and servicer agreements, contract negotiation, interpretation of governing documents, amendments to governing documents, enforcement of governing documents, covenant enforcement actions, arbitration disputes, presuit notices and demands, and interpretation and application of relevant laws. In providing such counsel, Mr. Smith works closely with boards of directors and managers to ensure the highest level of service, advice, and understanding.
Mr. Smith graduated from the University of Georgia and received a Bachelor of Journalism in Advertising, and went on to graduate cum laude from Florida Coastal School of Law. While in law school, Mr. Smith served as a senior editor and director of a public interest group providing research and drafting assistance to public interest attorneys, participated in a trusts and estates legal clinic, and worked as a legal extern for a national grocery corporation.
