aleon@haber.lawAlexander G. Leon is a Partner in the firm’s Construction Law & Real Estate Groups. Alex’s practice focuses on representing owners, developers, associations, and contractors in the design, construction, development, and restoration of a wide array of projects, including apartments, condominiums, hotels, industrial, commercial/retail and affordable housing. He assists clients with project administration to identify and achieve early resolution of potential disputes. He handles the negotiation and preparation of construction agreements, professional design agreements, and developer agreements. When disputes arise from design and construction agreements, including construction defect and delay claims, surety claims, insurance coverage, construction liens and warranty claims, Alex represents clients in the mediation, arbitration, and litigation of these disputes. Alex has also represented condominium and homeowners’ associations in insurance, construction defect, and contract disputes in State and Federal Courts throughout the State of Florida. Alex is a graduate of the University of Florida Levin College of Law, where he was the recipient of several merit based scholarships and a member of the Jessup Moot Court team. Alex earned his B.A. in Psychology from the University of Miami. Alex is also a proud Miami native and fluent in Spanish.

$22.5 Million Condominium Community Construction Defects Case Secured a $22.5 million settlement as part of the trial team for the owners of a 676- unit condominium community in a construction defects lawsuit reported as one of the largest in Palm Beach County history. Kolter Homes and more than a dozen other subcontractors settled on the third day of jury selection, following three successive verdicts for the owners in court-conducted mock jury trials.
